Four long-standing audiology practices, 7 locations, one locally owned team — helping neighbors across the KC metro, Western Missouri, and Wichita hear and live better.

KC Hearing Center began as Raytown Hearing Aid Service — a small, trusted practice that has cared for the Kansas City metro and surrounding rural communities for more than 30 years. In 2023, Kathryn "Kathy" Grote, a practicing audiologist with two decades of experience supporting patients across the Midwest, acquired the practice and reintroduced it as KC Hearing Center.
Today we are comprised of four long-standing audiology practices in the region — Jackson County Audiology, Wright Audiology & Hearing Aids, Raytown Hearing Aid Services, and The Center for Better Hearing in Wichita. Together, we are one locally owned team, united by a simple commitment: help our neighbors hear their best.
We take the time to understand your unique needs and concerns, then build a treatment plan that fits your lifestyle and budget. From evaluations to fittings and repairs — we are here to help you hear your best.
We explain your audiogram, your options, and your next step in plain language. We offer community seminars and one-on-one device walk-throughs so you leave confident, not confused.
Every plan is tailored to your hearing, your environments, and your goals. We listen first, then recommend — and we never rush you through an appointment.
We are a locally owned practice with seven locations across Missouri and Kansas. Our patients are also our neighbors, and we intend to keep caring for this region for decades to come.

We designed every office to put patients at ease. These are some of the people, rooms, and details that make up the KC Hearing Center experience.
