We accept most insurance plans, so that more people have access to treating their hearing loss. Additionally, we will verify your insurance benefits prior to your appointment, if we have your insurance information available to us.

Our Providers

Kathryn Grote, MS
Audiologist
Kathryn Grote is an Audiologist with a passion for helping people by improving their hearing. She is a former leading Regional Representative for two global hearing aid manufacturers and has assisted patients across the Midwest. She realized the need for local care within her community and therefore, founded KC Hearing Center. With 20 years of experience in Audiology, Kathy has developed a deep understanding of hearing aid technology and the impacts of untreated hearing loss. She believes that better hearing allows others to enjoy every moment and build memories with loved ones.
In addition to providing hearing health care, Kathy enjoys spending time with family, weekends at the lake and attending sporting events with her kids. She has 2 sons, one is in high school and one is in college studying accounting & finance.
Kathy is committed to providing education and professional care in a comfortable environment and is always looking for ways to help others live their best life through better hearing.

Roberta Beile, MA CCC-A
Audiologist
Roberta has over 30 years of experience in the hearing health care industry. Roberta has had the unique experience of working in multiple Audiological settings. She has worked in private hospitals, university clinical settings with children and adults and as a representative for two manufacturers of hearing instruments, giving her added expertise with hearing aid manufacturers & technology.
Roberta is married and has a daughter and a grand-dog. She enjoys spending time with family, doing yoga, exercising, watching baseball, gardening and studying metaphysics.
Roberta encourages individuals to receive regularly scheduled hearing evaluations and is dedicated to enhancing the patient experience with hearing aids.

Dr. Minnie Baldridge, AuD CCC-A
Audiologist
Minnie has her doctorate degree in Audiology and has over 20 years of experience seeing patients around the Kansas City & surrounding area. Minnie has had the opportunity to work in many Audiology settings to enhance her knowledge in hearing aid technology, diagnostic evaluations and diagnosis of hearing loss. Minnie has worked in hospitals, private practice, Ear Nose & Throat and directly with insurance companies. Minnie serves veterans by performing C&P evaluations.
Minnie has 3 children, 7 grandchildren & 3 dogs who have stolen her heart. Minnie also enjoys crafting projects and growing unique indoor plants.
Minnie offers a kind and personalized approach to her patient visits. Her goal is to increase access to hearing health care to all people in need of support.

Kara Barrus, BA
Licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist
When she’s not providing patient care, Kara loves spending time with her husband, family, and friends. She enjoys being outdoors, embracing lake life, and playing golf. Kara’s approachable and compassionate nature makes her a trusted partner in improving hearing health.

Dr. Pamela A. Nelson, Au.D.
Audiologist
Pamela has over 30 years of experience working with patients to improve their hearing and communication skills. She received her Doctor of Audiology from Salus University and has worked in private practices and clinical ENT practices over the years. She also served the Audiology community as a President of the Kansas City Society of Audiology and a Convention Co-Chair of the Missouri Speech and Hearing Association convention. She has written articles for an industry publication and provided educational seminars to her patients and the public. She has experience with a wide variety of patients.
She takes a holistic approach to helping patients improve their hearing in order to improve their communication skills with their family, friends and co-workers which in turn improves their quality of life. As someone with hearing loss herself, she is always checking out new technology to improve her patient’s connection with others. Whether it is hearing devices, apps, sound bars, amplified phones, features on cell phones, she is testing it out.
Pamela is married and has a son who is a chemical engineer, and a large extended family. She enjoys spending time with her family, trying new restaurants, reading, swimming and traveling.

Dr. Haley Womack, Au.D.
Audiologist
Haley graduated in May 2023 with her Doctor of Audiology degree from Missouri State University. Her clinical experience includes vestibular testing, tinnitus treatment, and hearing aid fittings, and she has worked in multiple clinical settings. She is passionate about helping patients with their communication needs to improve their quality of life and strengthen their relationships with family and friends. She has witnessed firsthand the profound impact that better hearing can have on a person’s outlook on life.
Haley believes in a patient-centered plan of care and takes a personalized approach to selecting the hearing aid that best suits each individual’s lifestyle.
Haley is married and a proud dog mom to her pup, Archie. She is an avid reader and foodie who loves to travel—her most recent trip was to Spain, where she got married and honeymooned.

Karen Poletis
Licensed Audiology Assistant
Karen previously was an Occupational Therapist Assistant for 20 + years . She worked with children within the school district, adults in a nursing home, out-patient clinic & home health. She recently has been a real estate agent for the last 20 years & loves to help clients find their perfect home. Karen is excited to work with patients as an Audiology Assistant. She is passionate in educating patients on how to care for their hearing aids & use updated technology on their devices.
Karen has been married for 28 years and has 2 sons. Her oldest son recently got married & her youngest son is a senior at Kansas State University. She enjoys traveling & spending time at their lake house with her family. She loves spending time outdoors in the sun, playing card games & exercising.

Liz DeVoss
Licensed Audiology Assistant
Liz is a retired educator with a passion for helping others, which brings a wealth of experience to her current role as a licensed Audiology Assistant. Holding both a B.S. in Elementary Education and a B.A. in Communication Studies, Liz has honed her ability to connect with people and teach effectively. Her background in education enables her to skillfully guide patients through device operations, maintenance, and the use of hearing aid accessories, ensuring they feel informed and supported.
Known for her reliability, dedication, and patient approach, Liz creates a welcoming environment for all patients. She takes the time to address their concerns with care and encouragement, making each experience positive.
Outside of work, Liz is married and a proud mother of three sons. She enjoys spending time at the lake in Northern Minnesota, reading, walking her dog, Murphy, and attending sporting events with family and friends. Liz’s warm and compassionate nature extends beyond her work, making her a valued part of both her professional and personal communities.

Jenifer Medellin
Audiology Assistant
Jenifer completed the Audiology Assistant Program through Nova Southeastern University, gaining a strong foundation in patient care and hearing healthcare support. With a deep enthusiasm for the future of hearing aid technology, she is passionate about guiding patients through every step of their hearing aid journey—offering support, education, advocacy and compassion to help make the adjustment to wearing hearing aids as seamless as possible.
When not working, Jenifer enjoys spending time with family, hiking local trails with shelter dogs, diving into a good book, and soaking up the outdoors whenever possible. This love for nature and community engagement reflects her positive, approachable spirit and dedication to making a difference both inside and outside the clinic.
